What You’ll Be Able to Do
- Identify the difference between observable non-verbal behaviour and personal interpretation in professional interactions.
- Demonstrate a repeatable method for establishing a behavioural baseline before assessing meaningful deviations.
- Describe what facial expressions, eye behaviour, posture, hands, feet, and orientation may indicate about comfort, discomfort, or cognitive load, including their limitations.
- Apply proxemic principles to adjust distance, seating, and positioning in European workplace and commercial settings.
- Analyse clusters of non-verbal changes in context and formulate appropriate verbal follow-up questions without treating signals as proof of deception.
- Evaluate common body-language claims and design a personal observation checklist for ethical, evidence-informed professional use.
