Why it matters
The smile can hold your attention while the feet are already pointed at the door. A meeting can end with agreement on every face and nothing in the diary, because some of the decision was showing below the table.
What the face fixator can miss
Feet turned to the exit. A torso that angles away while the head stays polite. Hands that disappear under the table the moment the number is mentioned. Ventral denial, in Navarro's term, and the face never shows it.
