Illustrative shape. Yours is drawn from your own ten answers.

What it costs you

On the phone and on video you lose half your read. The pause before "of course", the pitch that rises on a statement, the pace that doubles when the topic changes: all of it passes you by, and remote work is where most of your conversations now happen.

What the mute observer misses

Response latency. A rising terminal on a claim. Volume that drops on the one number that matters. Speech that speeds up or flattens when the subject turns to money, deadlines or the other supplier.

How to fix it

Listen for the change, not the content. Baseline the voice in the first minute and note every departure from it. Reading the Room Remotely is the course built for exactly this channel.
