Body Language Quiz: How Well Do You Read People?
A free body language test in ten real workplace situations. Pick what you see, say how sure you are, and get your score and your reader profile on screen straight away. No sign-up to see your result.
Where do you read people?
Each role has its own set of situations. Every set is ten questions, two per skill, so the result reads the same way whichever you pick.
Your prospect has steepled their fingers for most of the call. The moment you mention the implementation timeline, their hands drop flat to the table. Read it.

How each question works
The quiz is not a picture of a face with four emotions under it. It is a moment you have actually been in, and the question is what you would do with it.
Read the situation
A real moment with words, a face and a body in it. Never a photo with four emotions underneath.
Pick what you would do
Four options, one of them right. The read on each names the behaviour it rests on.
Say how sure you were
Confidence is scored on its own, so a confident miss shows up as a calibration gap.
What the body language quiz measures
Every question is tagged to one of five skills. Your result shows where you are strong and the one skill your eye skips, so the score is a diagnosis rather than a rank.
- 01
Facial expressions
The quarter-second on the face before the polite version arrives.
- 02
Posture and gestures
What the body below the face is doing while the face stays composed.
- 03
Voice and paralanguage
Pace, pitch and pauses: the soundtrack most people never listen to.
- 04
Congruence and deception
Whether the words and the body agree, and what to weight when they do not.
- 05
Rapport and influence
What you do with an accurate read in the next ten seconds.
The five reader profiles
Your lowest-scoring skill names your profile. Nobody fails: each one is a specific area to work on, with its own page, why it matters and a course that covers it.
The Literalist
You tend to take words at face value, so a body contradicting them can slip past.
Read the profile: The LiteralistThe Face Fixator
You focus on the face, so what the body below it is doing can go unnoticed.
Read the profile: The Face FixatorThe Broad-Strokes Reader
You read the room and the posture well. The quick flashes on the face are easier to miss.
Read the profile: The Broad-Strokes ReaderThe Mute Observer
You read what you can see. The pace, pitch and pauses get less of your attention.
Read the profile: The Mute ObserverThe Analyst
Your reads are accurate. Turning them into your next move is the area to build.

Body language quiz: common questions
Is the body language quiz free?
Yes. Ten questions, your score and your reader profile are all free and shown on screen. The emailed breakdown with every situation you missed is free too; it just needs an address to land in.
How long does the test take?
About three minutes. Ten situations, one answer and one confidence rating each. There is no timer.
Do I need to give my email to see my result?
No. Your score and profile appear on screen the moment you finish. The email is only for the full breakdown: the situations you missed, the read on each, and your radar chart.
How is the quiz scored?
Each question belongs to one of five skills, two questions per skill. Your weakest skill names your profile. Confidence ratings are scored separately, so a confident wrong answer shows up as a calibration gap rather than just a miss.
Is it based on research?
The five skills map to the categories used in published non-verbal communication research, and every read names the behaviour it rests on. The Research page lists the sources behind each skill.
Can my team take it together?
Yes. Teams get a shared link and an aggregate view of where the group is strong and where it is blind. See For Teams for how that works.
